Key tasks and responsibilities

The primary areas of responsibility of the  Assistant Manager - Workplace Safety Health will be to :

  • Execute the Workplace Safety and Health Management System for REDMART Facilities across Warehousing, Transport and Office Environments in compliance with legal requirements and industry best practices.

  • Ensure compliance to Safety Policies and Standard Operating Procedures to achieve Business Goals as detailed in the Transport and Operations Plans

  • Facilitate Committees comprising of External Vendors, Operations and Transport Stakeholders as well as Senior Management to ensure buy in and

  • Maintain Bizsafe Star and ISO 45001 (or equivalent) standards

  • Execute training regime towards increasing risk awareness and  inculcating a safety culture throughout the organisation.

To be successful in this role, you must be an excellent communicator with the ability to operate in a harmonious and influencing manner in challenging situations with an interest in improving the organization's safety culture, with proven leadership capabilities that is well versed in Safety Management Systems and demonstrate capacity to lead a team, while providing guidance, support & direction to all areas of the business within the area of your competence.

 

You will have demonstrated:

 

  • Incident prevention with fundamentals of investigation methodology and process, including interviewing skills & techniques

Qualifications / Relevant Work Experience

  • Graduate/Postgraduate qualifications in Physical Sciences, Engineering or Occupational Safety and Health

  • Level C - Specialist Diploma in WSH, or equivalent

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (MOM)

  • Registered Fire Safety Manager (SCDF)

  • Registered Environment Control Officer (ECO)

  • Medically and Physically fit, good team player with initiative

  • GSuite
