Reporting to the VP Infrastructure Development you will programme manage a large multi-project cross-functional transformation plan that will build the capability to support business growth.

 

Job Purpose

We have a complex plan to increase the size of our fulfilment centre and introduce automation.  This role will coordinate the fit out, operational migration and closure of existing facilities to meet tight timelines.  Implementing this plan in a way that does not constrain growth or impact customer service is critical to our success.

 

Scope and Responsibilities

  • Engage with key stakeholders and ensure that all projects and work streams have a clear brief and deliverables
  • Work with stream leads to project management support and that we are adopting a common approach and all elements of the plan are aligned
  • Ensure that there is defined timeline, budget and resource needed for all projects
  • Build an overall change programme that includes all of the projects and that all interdependencies are clearly understood and highlighted
  • Develop and implement a governance structure and reporting structure for the plan.  Establish a routine for regular reporting on progress, highlighting variations to plan.
  • Establish and maintain issue and risk management and reporting
  • Establish handover processes to the end user
  • Post project reviews to ensure that lessons learnt are shared and built into future projects
  • Conduct post completion audits measuring actual benefit against business case and understanding the reasons for any variance

Skills and Competencies

  • Experienced programme manager who has successfully delivered a complex cross-functional change
  • Managed large projects that included the relocation of complex operations and the opening and closing of facilities to support this
  • Broad-based business background in a fast moving environment
  • A good manager, with ability to get the best out of people particularly when there is no direct reporting line
  • Highly developed communication, influencing and coaching skills
  • Detail oriented, friendly and professional above all a solid Team player
  • Desire to learn, seek new challenges and take on additional responsibilities
  • Good common sense with ability to solve practical problems within very short timelines
  • High sense of responsibility and self-motivation
  • Someone who takes pride in their work
  • 7 - 10 years relevant work experience
